 Fantastic 4-H Overnight Camp: June 19-22, 2020

  • Who? All youth ages 7-12. No 4-H membership is required to attend.

  • What? This camp is a four day, three night camp experence. Campers will ride horses, go canoeing, hike the trails and jump in the pool. Your camper will sing songs by the campfire, make crafts and meet new friends. 

  • When? June 19-22, 2020

  • Cost? $250 per camper

  • Transportation? Travel not provided by extension office. Please contact extension office with questions.

  • One counselor per four campers is required

  • Registration Closes May 1, 2020

Camp Counselor Information

  • Who can be a camp counselor? WyCo youth counselors need to be 15 as of Jan 1, 2020. Adult counselors who have passed a Criminal Background Check, and the volunteer screening process.
  • What to expect as a camp couselor? As a camp counselor you will serve as a leader, teacher, and friend for 8 youth who are 4-H age of 7 to 12, in a “small family living unit” for the 4 days, 3 nights of 4-H camp. A counselor will be responsible for the overall welfare and maintenance of their group with specific concern given to the social, emotional, and physical growth of each camper.
  • One counselor per four campers is required
  • Must attend the mandatory Counselor Camp Training at Rock Springs 4-H Center on June 18, 2020. The camp counselor application, the volunteer screening application and Kansas 4-H Participation Form are due to your local Extension Unit in mid April.
