Fantastic 4-H Camp Counselors

To insure that we fulfill the requirement that each county provide one counselor for every four campers. WyCo youth counselors need to be 15 as of Jan 1, 2019.

As a camp counselor you will serve as a leader, teacher, and friend for 8 youth who are 4-H age of 7 to 12, in a “small family living unit” for the 4 days, 3 nights of 4-H camp. Fantastic 4-H Camp will be held June 17-20 at the Rock Springs 4-H Center. A counselor will be responsible for the overall welfare and maintenance of their group with specific concern given to the social, emotional, and physical growth of each camper. If selected as a camp counselor, counselor must attend the mandatory Counselor Camp Training at the Johnson County Extension Office, on June 11, 2019. The camp counselor application, the volunteer screening application and Kansas 4-H Participation Form are due to your local Extension Unit by April 16, 2019.
